Mould-Termin: mould inhibitor for feed and grains in the state of liquid orpowder, a new product developed by the Dr. HU, the Chfief Technology Officer of Bioforte Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Associate Professor of Food Science, South China Agricultural University. Mould-Termin can effectively prevent the feed and grains from moulding during storage period. The main ingredients are inert propionate acid and surfactant et al.

Ingredients and characteristics

Appearance: Brown or dark brown liquid with a slight sour smell.

Ingredient: propionate( ≥ 40%,w/w), potassium sorbate and water binding agents.

Main features

1. Strong effect. Mould-Termin can effectively inhibit the germination of spore and growth of common mold at low concentration(Less than 1 ‰) ;

2. Long-term effect. The propionic acid in product are inert, which results in its heat-tolerant and low volatility characters, and not easily volatilized even at high temperature during processing, storage and transportation process, maintaining good stability, thus play mildew proofing efficacy during all shelf time ;

3. Low corrosivity. Propionic acid and other acidic ingredients are inert, they present pH near neutral and slight acidity, and have low corrosiveness to feed production equipment ;

4. Even distribution of moisture. Surfactant in Mould-Termin can reduce the surface tension of feed and grains and make moisture distributed evenly. Therefore, Mould-Termin can effectively prevent mildew resulted from partly accumulation of moisture by temperature variation ;

5. No impact on feed intake. The oganic acids in Mould-Termin are inert, meanwhile, the feed attractant can improve the palatability of feed；

6. Environment-friendly. All ingredients can be decomposed by microorganisms and there is no toxicity to biosphere and the environment.

Dosage and method:

The dosage depends on the quality of feed raw materials,its moisture content,relative air humidity and storage time of feed;

According to the moisture concentration and water content of feed,the proposed addition dosage of Mould-Termin are listed as below:

If the material contaminated by mold, or in hot and humid seasons, or long storage time, it is recommended that the dosage of addition increased by 50% than listed above; 

Use liquid spraying equipment, manual or dedicated dispenser diluted Mould-Termin into an aqueous solution of 4-10%; According to the upper limit of water content in the feed, determine addition of Mould-ermin. Recommended to use boiled water, or the water treated at 80℃ for 30 min for making Mould-Termin prepared solution.

It is recommended to spray Mould-Termin solution into the mixing machine by special equipment.

Pack and Storage

25 kg per plastic drum.

Store at cool place for 12 months.
